India Today is the world's largest functioning democracy and fourth largest economy of the world, which is one of the most exciting emerging market in the world today. It is needless to emphasis, in such changing times, the role of higher education more particularly, management education, in building new innovative and entrepreneurial culture in India.
India has varied climatic environment for agriculture as also for horticulture development, diversified resource base, talented young human capital and network of high quality technical Institutions. One such Society is our Gokhale Education Society which has become a lead and quality educational institution in India.
It was in 1968 that we thought of developing M.B.A. Programme, first of its type in India, to make higher education more effective and entrepreneurial, by conscious effort, through curriculum development, faculty training, new methods of evaluation, creating linkages and providing identity.
In order to make higher education more rewarding we introduced selection of the trainees, group learning, team-teaching, case method of study and introduction of project work and viva. We thus made Business Education highly resourceful and useful and this made Management education more meaningful and rewarding.
For specialisation in areas of Personnel, Marketing, Systems and Finance, New courses were developed and New degrees were instituted like M.P.M., M.C.M. by risking innovation, fostering collaboration and using diversity.
The JDC Bytco Institute of Management studies and Research, Nasik, has now emerged on the National educational map of India and I am happy that trainees here for all these courses have enriched the Campus and have created a culture of caring & excellence. The trainees here have all the facilities of e-learning and e-governance and I wish all of them very bright future for building NEW ENTREPRENEURIAL INDIA. I am sure, they will lead India into world's three biggest economies within a decade or so. The training received by students will definitely enable them to have self-employment & will also provide them high and satisfying placement befitting their effort.
